Job Summary
Implement Uncommon’s K-12 curriculum and activities to meet high academic standards across elementary through high school levels; analyze assessments to inform differentiated instructional practices; create a positive, structured learning environment aligned with school values and conduct; communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues; participate in annual staff orientation and ongoing instructional training; engage in grade-level activities and school-wide functions; demonstrate passion for urban youth and continuous professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- GPA of 2.75 or higher by employment start
- Valid State Certification and/or licensure is helpful but not required for all applicants
- Experience in or passion for teaching in urban public or charter school settings preferred for experienced teachers
- Ability to implement Uncommon’s curriculum and participate in ongoing professional development
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting urban youth toward college readiness
