Job Summary
Conduct substitute teaching for K-12 classrooms by maintaining established routines, following provided lesson plans, and overseeing student behavior during instruction, lunch, and activity periods. Interact professionally with colleagues, students, and parents while encouraging and monitoring student progress, ensuring strict confidentiality is maintained. Provide daily written reports on activities and adhere to all school policies and procedures. Attend the required one-time orientation and possess high responsiveness to short-notice assignments. Maintain physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and adjust body position to reach all students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds at times
- Must be able to traverse the classroom and adjust one's tone and height by bending, leaning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in order to teach each child
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
Desired Qualifications
- College experience or degree
- One-year classroom experience
- CPR certification
