K-12 Substitute Teacher (As Needed, Occasional Long-Term Assignments Available)

Follow the lesson plan left by the regular teacher and maintain established routines and discipline to ensure engaged student participation and academic progress. Instruct assigned classes at designated times and locations, planning additional activities when lesson plans do not cover the entire period. Oversee student behavior during class, between classes, and during lunch periods while carrying out the regular teacher's discipline plan and assuming any other duties assigned by the administrator. This role supports the Academy's mission to transition students from desks to dirt in a 62-acre outdoor classroom featuring working gardens, nature trails, and forests. Candidates must demonstrate genuine concern for students, promote responsible citizenship, and use technology effectively for instruction and administrative tasks.
