K-12 Sales Specialist (Food Broker)

K-12 Sales Specialist to expand market share across Michigan by partnering directly with school nutrition teams and distributors. Responsibilities include scheduling and conducting in-person sales appointments with K-12 districts, sampling products and prepared recipes, pipeline management in AI NXT/CRM to meet trimester sales goals, organizing taste-testing events at district/state levels, collaborating with the Bid Team and Senior Director to analyze bids and build competitive proposals, and serving as a trusted advisor to school nutrition leaders. Requires 2–5 years in foodservice sales or related fields, strong relationship-selling skills, exceptional presentation and communication abilities, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset. Travel weekly across Michigan with occasional regional air travel; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 10–15 evening/weekend events annually. Tech skills: Microsoft Office, Teams/Zoom, CRM; Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 20–50 lbs during food shows. Bonus points for associate or bachelor’s degree, direct K-12 School Nutrition Program experience, and familiarity with modern sales tech platforms.
