Job Summary
Manage K-12 course reviews by ensuring Course Worksheets and Alignment Maps accurately reflect state or content standards and measurable objectives. Assign peer reviewers, provide review information, and guide stakeholders on applying Specific Review Standards and Annotations. Serve as a subject matter expert for curriculum alignment, state standards, and QA policies while maintaining a manual of eligibility rules. Collaborate with QA stakeholders, attend departmental meetings, and represent Quality Matters in communications and conferences. Participate in weekly staff meetings and small workgroups to support strategic goals and professional development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must reside permanently in one of the following states to be considered for this position: CT, FL, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MI, MO, NC, NH, NM, NV, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, or WA
- Bachelor's Degree
- minimum of 5 years related work experience in K-12 online education
- K-12 curriculum development knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of the Quality Matters K-12 Rubric Specific Review Standards and Annotations
- Knowledge of the National Standards for Quality Online Learning
- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of state content standards
- Ability to multitask with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently
- Strong work ethic with a high level of professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving, virtual work environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
- all QM employees are required to be available to attend the synchronous core schedule of Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, EST
- participate in weekly staff meetings
- occasional travel to conferences and meetings (about 5% ; 2 trips per year)
- Must have access to reliable high-speed internet
Desired Qualifications
- Background in quality assurance for online learning
- Experience in the application of the QM Rubric to online course design
- Experience as a QM Course Reviewer
- Fluent in Spanish
- Experience utilizing generative AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity, with an understanding of AI data privacy and output verification
