Job Summary
Plan and schedule regular soccer practices and interscholastic contests, establishing fundamental skill and technique training for student athletes. Oversee facility safety, equipment management, and budget processes while monitoring athlete eligibility and enforcing sportsmanship standards. Coach individual participants, manage documentation and record-keeping for state requirements, and foster public relations with parents, media, and booster clubs. Assist athletes in selecting college or work opportunities and adhere to district and league regulations. This part-time position coincides with game and practice schedules and includes first aid and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Soccer experience at the high school level or higher
- Knowledge of existing local, league, and state sports regulations and the ability to oversee their consistent implementation using proper administrative channels
- First aid certification
- Current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Clear understanding of concussion protocols and the ability to implement them
- Knowledge of the activity being coached
- Ability to walk, stand and run consistent with coaching responsibilities
- Ability to lift equipment specific to the sport being coached
- Ability to bend and twist regularly at the waist, knees and neck
