Job Summary
Lead JV Girls Volleyball Coach to develop and implement practice plans focused on skill development, conditioning, and teamwork; manage all JV game-day operations, lineups, and strategy; maintain open communication with student-athletes, parents, athletic director, and varsity staff; evaluate players for roster decisions and potential movement between JV and varsity; foster an inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship and academic achievement; collaborate with the Varsity Head Coach to align coaching philosophy and player development; ensure safety protocols and compliance with district policies; support equipment management and academic eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Prior coaching experience in volleyball (preferably at the high school or youth level). Playing experience is also preferred.
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Knowledge of volleyball: In-depth knowledge of volleyball rules, tactics, and strategies.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and guide young athletes.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain them before the season starts.
- CIF Coaching Requirements: Must hold current CIF/NFHS certifications or be willing to obtain them before the season starts.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check in accordance with school district policy.
