Job Summary
JV Girls Basketball Coach at Albemarle High School. Responsibilities include prioritizing fundamental skill building, collaborating with the varsity head coach, and maintaining a positive culture within the program. Requires experience coaching adolescent girls, strong communication skills, a strong work ethic, and flexibility to work after school and weekend hours. Will be involved in daily instruction of student-athletes, traveling with teams to matches, and enforcing discipline and teamwork in a school setting. Part-time, temporary position with a coaching stipend.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience is required
- knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations
- ability to develop and train student-athletes
- ability to organize and prepare practice schedules
- ability to develop discipline emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship
- positive relations with student-athletes, parents and the community
- extensive knowledge of individual and team fundamentals of basketball
- preferably hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license
