Job Summary
The JV Cheer Lay Coach will assist the Head Coach in delivering effective sports coaching to K-12 students, overseeing training, and supervising athletes. Responsibilities include instructing students on sports fundamentals, coordinating practice schedules, monitoring try-outs, and ensuring safety during activities. Candidates must have knowledge of GHSA regulations and complete coaching exams. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. The role involves supervising athletes and managing equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding and knowledge of rules and regulations presented by the GHSA
- Georgia High School Association Coaching exam required
- Completion of the 'PREPARE/First Aid' and 'Principles for Coaching' exams within three months of class date
- Community coach prospects should be 21 years of age or older
