Job Summary
Seasonal JV boys volleyball coaching role responsible for planning and conducting practices and games, teaching skills and techniques, ensuring a certified coach is present at practices and games, coordinating with the Activities Director on transportation and hotel accommodations for overnight events, supervising student-athletes and facilities, maintaining equipment, preparing practice and game schedules, handling paperwork and records (attendance, insurance, medical, rosters, injury reports), enforcing discipline and sportsmanship, and ensuring safety and compliance with school and VHSL policies while collaborating with staff and administration.
Required Qualifications
- Some head coach experience preferred
- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills
- Knowledge of VHSL rules and procedures
- Ability to establish working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students
- Ability to coordinate transportation, accommodations, and paperwork for athletic events
