Job Summary
Coach one or more interscholastic sports teams, including JV Boys Basketball, while collaborating with the Athletic Director and Head Coach on practice and game schedules. Supervise the locker room, oversee the development and progress of each child, and communicate regularly with parents. Implement a wide array of coaching tools and strategies to foster athletic growth through structured reflection and formal assessments. Design learning experiences that connect with outside experts and support students' social, emotional, and physical needs. Demonstrate cultural competency to collaborate effectively across differences and set high expectations for character development. Start in November 2026 with a Bachelor's degree and three years of coaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated professional competency
- Minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience with adolescents in this age group
- A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community
- Willingness to take on multiple roles within the school
- Personal traits appropriate for nurturing the growth of children - must be energetic, creative, flexible, patient, and have an inexhaustible sense of humor
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in establishing collaborative relationships with external partners/organizations in the design and implementation of learning experiences
