Job Summary
Conduct daily baseball instruction and select/train student athletes at Pinckney Community High School, fostering their development while serving as a positive role model on and off the field. Manage team procedures, organization, and expectations through effective communication with students, parents, and staff, resolving conflicts in a productive manner. Facilitate program growth by collaborating with local baseball travel clubs to support athlete development. Prioritize student athlete welfare by placing appropriate emphasis on their needs and providing a safe, rewarding learning experience. Requires extensive baseball knowledge, previous playing experience, and high school coaching background. Contract employment through Safe-Ed starting March 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of baseball

- Ability to work well with student athletes
- Previous baseball coaching experience with high school age students
- Ability to select and train student athletes
- Ability to foster student athlete development
- Ability to serve as a role model to student athletes
- Ability to place the appropriate emphasis on STUDENT athlete

- Ability to motivate and encourage student athletes
- Ability to resolve conflicts in a positive, productive manner
