Job Summary
Provide instruction and guidance to juveniles and families in financial training, employment coaching, and civic engagement. Conduct case management for up to 15 youth, perform client assessments, and complete YASI risk assessments to support service planning. Advocate for clients in Sangamon County by attending juvenile court hearings and navigating referrals to community agencies. Build relationships through one-on-one meetings, small group activities, and mentoring support while facilitating community partnerships and bi-weekly case reviews. Transport youth and families to approved activities using agency vehicles, manage program supplies, and document all client activity and compliance reports.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in student status and pursuing associates, bachelor's, or master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited University
- Must have knowledge of administering and interpreting standardized tests
- Must be willing to adjust work schedule for evening and or weekend shifts
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate agency vehicles, including passenger transit vans
- Must be available to travel locally throughout the service area to support program activities, participant needs, community partnerships, and service delivery requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities
