Job Summary
Mentor and guide youth aged 12–20 in a secure residential treatment setting. Build trust, provide structure, and support personal growth while helping youths develop accountability and positive decision-making skills. Collaborate with a treatment-focused team to implement Spectrum’s Forward Focused Treatment Model and align with Michigan licensing requirements. Responsibilities include fostering respectful mentor relationships, supporting individual treatment goals, ensuring safety and a supportive environment, and promoting dignity and resilience in every young person. The role emphasizes mentorship, emotional support, and teamwork to help youth heal and prepare for a brighter future.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- An Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or Human Services is highly desired
- A clean background check and central registry clearance
- A valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- A physical exam indicating good health and the ability to meet the job’s physical demands
