Job Summary
Juvenile Detention Worker duties include supervising youth in secure and non-secure programs, facilitating group and individual counseling, and providing secure transportation to and from court hearings and appointments. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and overnights, averaging no more than 19 hours per week. Requires a High School diploma, a valid driver's license, enrollment in a related post-secondary program (or age 21+ if not enrolled), and the ability to pass a background investigation. The role involves on-site work and requires availability for all shifts including holidays; duties also encompass other assigned tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Valid driver's license
- At least 18 years of age
- Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program studying criminal justice, social work, psychology, education or related field.
- If not currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, you must be 21 years old
- Ability to successfully complete a background investigation.
- Must be available to work all shifts to include: Day, evening, overnight, weekends and holidays.
