Job Summary
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and maintain visitor logs to control access to restricted areas. Respond to incidents and critical situations by following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity. Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities. Work full-time day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM in Union, SC, with a background investigation and drug screen required as conditions of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Meet COLA DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements
- Have at least six months of security-related experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
