Junior Underwriter

Assist with consumer, mortgage, and commercial underwriting, processing, and closing activities on behalf of the company's clients. This role serves as backup for Community Funding Development. Responsibilities include reviewing application packages for completeness, examining and applying lending guidelines, communicating with staff, meeting timelines, assisting with Annual Financial Updates, handling portal submissions for various programs (Elevate, HOP, NIP, AMP, AHP) with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, providing underwriting support for grant requests, assisting with disbursements and monitoring of grant awards, and backing up administrative functions for the Bank's financial literacy program. Key skills include knowledge of accounting principles, credit policies, lending procedures, compliance with regulations, analytical ability, and strong communication and organizational skills.
