Job Summary
Trial Attorney in Civil Litigation focusing on employment and workers' rights. Represent clients in court trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations; develop case strategies and present arguments before judges and juries; conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; interview witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare for trial; negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate; provide legal advice on litigation matters; collaborate with paralegals and investigators; stay updated on laws and precedents; manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff; review complex employment law documents; monitor court deadlines; participate in client development and business generation; develop and implement litigation budgets; coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s)
- 2-3 years of litigation experience
- Trial experience preferred
- Strong background in procedural rules (e.g., Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure)
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines
- Project management and teamwork abilities
- Location: Burbank, CA; Hybrid work arrangement
