Junior Technical Project Coordinator

Job Summary

Prepare technical drafting, shop drawings, estimates, quotations, and production tickets while reviewing drawings, specifications, and measurements to support accurate order preparation. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party fabricators to confirm scope, drawings, and lead times, then collaborate with the Sales Team and Production Coordinator to ensure documentation aligns with project timelines. Maintain technical resources, organize project files, and escalate errors or missing information for resolution. Support customer service with timely clarifications and technical responses. Requires a valid driver's licence, CAD software proficiency, and strong attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in architectural technology, drafting, construction technology, engineering technology, design, estimating, or a related field
  • Previous experience in drafting, estimating, technical support, construction materials, manufacturing, fabrication, or building products
  • Working knowledge of drawings, specifications, measurements, take-offs, and technical documentation
  • Experience with CAD and BIM modelling drafting software (such as AutoCAD and/or Revit), estimating tools, ERP systems, order entry platforms, or related technical software
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn internal systems quickly
  • Ability to read, interpret, and organize technical information with a high degree of accuracy
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Customer-focused approach with a professional and responsive attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively across sales, customer service, scheduling, production, and external fabrication partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions when clarification is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Positive attitude, accountability, and willingness to learn technical product knowledge and internal processes
