Job Summary
Junior Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and executing testing on MILSATCOM systems (FAB-T, MPSS, AFCPT, TDSPP, MMS, GBS, GMT) and providing technician-level support including integration, circuit troubleshooting, and system-level anomaly resolution. Will identify software/hardware defects, evaluate modifications for interoperability, and deliver technical documentation (test plans, procedures, diagrams, engineering studies, white papers, test reports). Role involves collaborating in a small-team environment at Peterson Space Force Base, with potential ~10% travel and on-site work supporting USSF SATCOM/NC3 space systems. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, ability to obtain SECRET clearance, and strong communication skills; INCOSE Certification and DoD mission-system sustainment knowledge are desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline
- Ability to attain and maintain SECRET clearance
- Motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Ability to travel approximately 10%
- Security clearance: SECRET or ability to obtain
