Job Summary
Junior Structural Drafter (Mining) to support preparation and development of structural engineering drawings for mining/industrial projects (steel, concrete, infrastructure). Collaborate with engineers/designers to produce accurate drawings; ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with standards; assist with drafting and coordination across disciplines. Requires Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering Technology and 0–2 years of drafting experience (co-op/internship considered). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software; basic understanding of structural systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office; strong attention to detail, organizational and teamwork skills. Exposure to 3D modeling tools (Revit, Tekla, etc.) and field exposure through co-op/summer experience are assets.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering Technology or related field
- 0–2 years of drafting experience (co-op or internship considered)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting/design software
- Basic understanding of structural systems (steel and concrete) and construction concepts
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in mining, construction, or industrial projects is an asset
- Exposure to structural drafting for industrial or mining projects
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (Revit, Tekla, etc.)
- Familiarity with structural detailing standards and practices
- Field exposure through co-op or summer experience
- Understanding of structural safety and design considerations
