Job Summary
Junior Structural Designer in Entuitive’s Vancouver office. Responsibilities include structural engineering design and calculations for columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and lateral systems; design and engineering using structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed structural steel, and wood; assemble and coordinate engineering drawings and contract documents with BIM technologists and the engineering team; conduct field reviews and contract administrative duties; draft project-related correspondence; review architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings. Requirements include an engineering degree focused on civil/structural engineering; EIT is an asset; experience in contract administration and site inspections is an asset; proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, MS Word/Excel, and structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, ETABS); strong verbal/written communication; ability to manage multiple tasks; interest in embodied carbon is an asset. The role supports a flexible hybrid work model with three in-office days in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree with a focus on civil and structural engineering
- EIT designation considered an asset
- Contract administration and site inspection experience considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word and Excel and structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, ETABS)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Knowledge of embodied carbon considered an asset
