Job Summary
Fill in for regular caregivers on short notice and provide non-medical care and companionship to patients as needed. Conduct brief, non-clinical wellness checks and report observations regarding patient safety or condition to the nursing team promptly. Assist the nursing team by demonstrating basic caregiving techniques to new or struggling caregivers and provide constructive, strength-based feedback to support their growth. Maintain accurate documentation, track engagement metrics, and collect feedback to share insights with leadership for program improvement. This role serves as a stopgap caregiver during recruitment periods or unexpected absences while promoting a positive company culture through regular caregiver interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience
- Bilingual caregiver (English and another language)
- Valid Kansas Driver's License
- Reliable transportation with current auto insurance
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass all Background check requirements
- Willingness to travel within assigned service areas on short notice
- Ability to adapt quickly to new patient environments and care situations
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or home health aide
- Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and a calm, team-centered attitude
- Minimum of 2 years of caregiver experience
- Active CNA License
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication, listening, and coaching abilities
- Professional, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable using technology and digital tools
- 1-3: 3 years (Preferred)
