Junior Sous Chef

Job Summary
Assist the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and support the team in Peruvian cuisine. Ensure consistency in food preparation for a la carte and buffet menus, oversee kitchen staff, conduct shift briefings, maintain hygiene and sanitation, liaise with the Outlet Chef on guest feedback, manage product rotation, know menu items and promotions, and contribute to an authentic Peruvian dining experience while working in a fast-paced hotel kitchen. Strong culinary foundation, English proficiency, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent required
- Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset
- Fluency in English
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Experience in the Culinary field
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Experience with Opera or related system (asset)
- Prior experience in the Culinary field preferred
