Junior Software Engineer

Job Summary
Support the engineering team with general, entry-level tasks including verifying and testing assigned metrics, entering results into a quality control database, and identifying areas for project improvement. Assist senior engineers in developing new methods to enhance product quality and process efficiency while ensuring compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements. Report problems with specific processes or products and may interact with external clients or suppliers under supervision. This role offers recent graduates and early-career professionals hands-on experience with advanced software technologies and mission-focused engineering projects within a collaborative research and development environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Government security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain clearance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to be flexible and learn new concepts and technologies on the job.
- Analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Public speaking skills to give presentations to Software Engineers and the management team.
- Experience with programming languages (JAVA, C/C++, Python/TensorFlow/Scikit-Learn, MATLAB, and ML frameworks).
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Functional Programming concepts and styles a plus.
