Job Summary
Junior Software Engineer at CACI with TS/SCI consideration; dual role performing some Sys Admin functions in Sarasota, FL. Responsibilities include supporting Space Domain Awareness missions, managing the full mission-system lifecycle from design to operations, participating in system design reviews, documenting configurations, performing hardware/software integration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities. The role involves building, configuring, testing components, fault isolation for ground-based satellite systems, and collaborating with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Requires broad technical knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients; proficiency in Linux (Red Hat), system administration, virtualization, networking, security practices, and scripting. The position emphasizes hands-on integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support across design, build, test, and operations with exposure to DoD and space-domain missions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent
- TS/SCI preferred, but will consider without a clearance
- Linux experience with Red Hat
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Red Hat Virtualization, KVM)
- Experience with network attached storage (NFS)
- Experience with server hardware provisioning (HP) and RAID/iLO
- Scripting languages (Perl, Bash)
- DevSecOps experience and tools
- Containerization with Kubernetes and Podman
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Experience with infrastructure management tools (e.g., Satellite)
- Experience with ticket/tracking tools (e.g., Atlassian)
- Experience supporting ISSO/ISSEs via DISA STIG
- Experience with network switch hardware (Cisco IOS)
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Git CI)
- Experience with Integrated Product Teams
- Knowledge of DoD/infrastructure security and patching processes
- Experience with Linux system administration and hardening
- Willingness to meet DoD facility installation requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
