Junior Software Developer

Job Summary
Develop, test, and maintain new features in internal applications and APIs while collaborating with senior developers, data engineers, and product managers. Troubleshoot and debug software issues, participate in design discussions, and contribute to data processing or automation tasks using Python, SQL, or JavaScript. Work with cloud services including AWS Lambda, S3, and RDS, adhering to secure coding, version control, and testing best practices. This learning-focused role requires a Bachelor's degree and foundational skills in programming, databases, and REST APIs. Applicants must commute to the Downtown Orlando, FL office for a hybrid schedule of three days in-office and two days remote weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong foundation in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred)
- Familiarity with databases and basic SQL queries
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and web application concepts
- Experience with Git or other version control tools
- Curiosity, accountability, and willingness to learn new technologies
- Must be able to commute to our Downtown Orlando, FL office and work a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remotely each week
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to cloud computing within AWS
- Experience with web frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, or Flask
- Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jira, Docker)
- Coursework or internship experience with data engineering, APIs, or automation projects
