Junior Satellite Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct real-time satellite contacts and configure command and control ground equipment during pre-pass, pass, and post-pass periods. Support system readiness, mission planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation for satellite launch, early orbit, on-orbit, and end-of-life operations. Perform scheduling, data trending, analysis, anomaly resolution, and conflict resolution for space vehicle tracking and telemetry. Assist in developing mission-specific documentation including procedures, handbooks, support plans, Operations Directives, and test plans. Implement anomaly response plans, participate in tiger-team discussions, and generate anomaly reports. Perform real-time evaluation of spacecraft, payload, and ground systems status. Requires shift work on the Panama schedule with 40 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- An active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to be an effective team member
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to work various rotating shifts including holidays and weekends
- Panama Schedule
Desired Qualifications
- 1 - 5 years' experience in a satellite operations capacity
- 5+ years experience with space/satellite operations and/or military operations
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience operating multiple satellite families in different orbits (LEO, HEO, GEO)
