Job Summary
Conduct RF/IF circuit design, simulation, and validation across 1 to 75 GHz frequencies. Design high-speed analog signal transmission products on copper or fiber optic media. Analyze product requirements and draft technical specifications for passive and active circuit development from concept to production. This hands-on engineering role includes substantial lab-based work and RF over optics development tasks. The position requires 0 to 2 years of RF/IF development experience with high-performance satellite or wireless communications products. A degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is essential, along with knowledge of key parameters such as gain, power levels, linearity, and NF.
Required Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years RF / IF development and implementation experience with high performance satellite and / or wireless communications products
- An understanding of interaction and relationships between key parameters including gain, power levels, linearity, VSWR, NF, etc.
- A Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Eligible for a Canadian security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with microwave and millimeter wave devices, circuits and technologies such as filters, combiners / dividers, mixers, attenuators and couplers
- Experience with Electronic Design Automation tools (e.g. ADS) and 2D / 3D EM simulators (e.g. ADS, HFSS, Microwave Studio, etc.)
