Job Summary
Dissect and analyze hardware, firmware, software, and network protocols to understand system behaviors and identify security vulnerabilities. Develop proof-of-concept exploits and custom tools to automate reverse engineering workflows while researching emerging threats and techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security solutions, document findings, and present results to stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, 0-4 years of experience, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $115,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- 0-4 years of demonstrated experience in reverse engineering or relevant security disciplines
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and software development principles
- Proficiency in assembly language or C/C++
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques
- Experience with network protocols and security concepts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja
- Experience with hardware reverse engineering tools and techniques
- Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware analysis
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated curiosity: performs self-directed learning and tasking
- Personal projects in Reverse Engineering, Capture the Flags, game modifications, or other related projects
