Junior Reclamation Project Manager

Job Summary
Assess project requirements and develop work plans, budgets, and implementation schedules for environmental remediation and reclamation projects. Synthesize site-specific information to interpret conditions, communicate key issues, and manage sub-contractors while overseeing execution and quality control. Compile data, write and review reports, track costs, and coordinate with the accounting team to monitor forecasts and completion milestones. Manage numerous low-complexity projects including regulatory requirements, OneStop entries, and peer reviews of drafted reports. Maintain databases, participate in technical and safety programs, and drive, haul trailers, or operate ATVs as needed. Communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams while adhering to MEMS values and industry guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Applicable Bachelor's degree or Diploma with emphasis on reclamation or soil science
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the execution and management of site assessments and reclamation, focusing on the oil and gas industry
- Eligibility for membership in a relevant professional organization
- Knowledge and experience with the 2010 Reclamation Criteria and Guidelines as well as the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Remediation Guidelines
- Knowledge and experience with the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation and BC ER Certificate of Restoration program
- Knowledge of the reclamation certificate application process
- Strong understanding of agricultural, forestry and oilfield practices
- Must be able to meet the requirements of site access as dictated by our clients, this may include pre-access drug, alcohol, and fitness testing
- Possess a valid, non-GDL Class 5 Drivers license
- Experience driving, hauling a trailer and operating ATVs
- Willingness to travel

- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail
