Junior Project Coordinator

Job Summary

Coordinate multidisciplinary mechanical, electrical, and building engineering projects from initiation through completion by assisting Project Managers with schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Review, track, and administer change notices and orders while preparing documentation such as proposals, meeting minutes, and progress reports. Facilitate communication between internal engineering teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, and monitor project milestones and risks. Maintain organized project files, drawings, and specifications in accordance with quality management procedures, and assist with procurement, submittal reviews, and shop drawing coordination. Schedule meetings, record minutes, and distribute action items to ensure deadlines are met. Ensure project activities comply with company standards, client requirements, and health and safety policies. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and build positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • 0–2 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, engineering, construction, or a related professional services environment
  • Co-op, internship, or relevant academic project experience
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to learning
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards and company quality procedures
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Procore, Deltek, Asana, or similar platforms
  • Exposure to consulting engineering, construction, or commercial building projects
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or construction document management software
  • CAPM certification or willingness to pursue project management certification
