Job Summary
Process and reconcile weekly payroll using ADP for craft and hourly personnel, preparing supporting journal entries and coordinating pay runs. Manage jobsite bank accounts, perform three-way matches on AP invoices, and enter purchase orders, change orders, and invoices into Sage 300 and TimberScan. Coordinate invoice processing, document tracking, and vendor submissions via DocuSign while auditing and submitting expense reports. Maintain documentation logs including rental records, purchase orders, and certificates of insurance. This role supports the Project Accountant in daily accounting and procurement activities for EPC projects in Texas, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience
- strong knowledge in accounting, payroll, HR, procurement, and business management
- Associate degree or higher with a focus in finance, accounting, payroll, HR, or procurement
- Experience performing payroll or accounting on larger-scale construction projects
- Knowledge of subcontractor AIA documentation, lien waivers, and certificates of insurance
- Knowledge of Sage 300, TimberScan, Mjob, and DocuSign
- Working knowledge of ADP, Excel, Adobe, Word, and Microsoft Teams platforms
- Comfortable performing work in a paperless environment and leveraging technology to recognize efficiency
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computers and printers
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Persistence, resourcefulness, drive, and ability to work proactively
- Works independently with a high level of self-direction as well as cooperatively with a team
- Must possess a professional and confident demeanor
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality is required
- Willingness to work extra hours, as necessary
- Must be able to relocate to Reeves County or Ward County, TX
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing payroll or accounting on larger-scale construction projects is a plus
