(Junior) Product Manager - Carbon Management (m/f/x)

Job Summary
Drive development and continuous improvement of a defined area within the Carbon Management solution suite, spanning Corporate and Product Carbon Footprint and Decarbonization. Translate complex methodological requirements into clear product direction while collaborating with cross-functional teams across UI/UX, engineering, and compliance to deliver features from concept to release. Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape, assess its implications for strategy, and prioritize customer feedback to guide roadmap development. Balance methodological rigor, technical feasibility, and commercial impact in product decisions. This role sits within a purpose-driven mission tackling sustainability challenges at a fast-growing unicorn company, based in Mannheim with a hybrid work model.
Required Qualifications
- Product management or product ownership experience
- Deep domain knowledge in PCF / LCA (life cycle assessment / PCF methodology ISO 14044/14067)
- Hands-on experience with emission factor databases such as ecoinvent
- Familiarity with frameworks like PACT or Catena-X
- Solid command of the GHG Protocol including Scopes 1–3
- Exposure to decarbonization topics such as SBTi target setting and supply chain engagement
- Comfort with data models, calculation logic, and integration trade-offs at a functional level
- A data-informed approach to product decisions
- A strong cross-functional communicator
- English fluency at C1 level
- German language ability
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in B2B SaaS
- Owning internal tools in a large enterprise
- Methodology and tool ownership in a consulting context
- Expertise in both PCF / LCA and CCF / Corporate Carbon Accounting
- Ideally familiarity with frameworks like PACT or Catena-X (if not listed as required)
- Ideally exposure to decarbonization topics such as SBTi target setting and supply chain engagement (if not listed as required)
- German language ability (if not listed as required)
