Job Summary
Join DKB Code Factory as a Junior Product Designer where you will own small features, tighten your Figma and FigJam craft, and grow through structured mentorship and real product impact. The mission of this role is to design clear, user-centered UI solutions for DKB Code Factory’s business-customer products, turning user insights into practical, accessible Figma deliverables that move features from discovery to production. This is an early-career role focused on hands-on learning! Design tasks for small features from discovery through handoff: flows, screens, and interactive prototypes in Figma; deliver a structured Figma working file (including FigJam sketches, problem statements, hypotheses, components, and annotations) that demonstrates your process and reasoning; collaborate with Product Owners, business analysts, and front-end developers to align on scope, feasibility, and handoff quality; participate in user research (interviews, usability checks) and translate findings into design decisions; apply core UX/UI principles and accessibility basics to produce usable, consistent interfaces; iterate on designs based on feedback and basic product metrics; communicate design rationale clearly to cross-functional partners and document decisions for the team.
Required Qualifications
- Proven practical experience in Figma and FigJam; ability to deliver clean, well-structured working files.
- Strong grounding in UX/UI fundamentals: usability heuristics, interaction design, visual hierarchy, and accessibility basics.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, curiosity, and the ability to accept and apply feedback.
- Good problem-solving skills: ability to frame clear problem statements and propose testable hypotheses.
- Basic data and research literacy: comfortable participating in user sessions and using simple metrics or observations to inform design.
- Reliable ownership of assigned work and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in an agile environment.
- Fluency in English and German (B2+).
- Bonus: familiarity with Jira/Confluence, AI-assisted work experience, basic analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude), or accessibility testing practices.
