Junior Process Engineer

Job Summary
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability objectives, then coordinate quality control activities to resolve production problems and maximize consistency. Prepare production cost estimates and progress reports while designing measurement systems based on laboratory and pilot plant data. Troubleshoot batch and raw material issues, investigate equipment failures, and recommend process modifications to optimize plant operations. Monitor production functions using SAP, assist in capital improvement plans, and develop site metrics and KPIs. Perform duties in accordance with safety policies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in mechanical or electrical engineering
- 1+ years of engineering experience, including experience with manufacturing operations
- Relevant internships qualify
- Continuous web process and batch process equipment experience
- Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with all levels of the plant
- Create standard work instructions/SOP's
- Exemplify team leadership skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of arithmetic, statistics, continuous improvement concepts, ISO procedures, and their applications
- Apply Excel, Word, and SAP applications to daily job responsibilities
- Learn and apply safety, environmental, SOX, ISO, and workplace regulations in the plant
- Manage multiple priorities and make decisions on the most critical to keep the project moving forward
- Self-motivated team player
- Communicate technical concepts proficiently both verbally and in written form related to product usage, competitive product analysis, product specifications, product repairs, and problems, etc
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and employ a solutions-oriented approach
- Strong organizational skills
