Job Summary
Lead Years 1 and 2 classroom instruction for Term 3 2026 onwards while actively guiding Christian formation and pastoral care. Deliver the prescribed curriculum using an Explicit Instruction model to foster academic rigor and cross-cultural understanding. Contribute to the school community through staff meetings, extra-curricular tasks, and parent liaison. This part-time role (0.4FTE) supports ACC Hobart's mission to develop students spiritually, academically, and socially within a nurturing K–10 environment.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor's degree
- Any other relevant teaching qualifications (i.e. Master of Education)
- Capacity to actively lead the Christian formation of students
- Capacity to actively lead in delivering Pastoral Care from a genuine Christian faith
- Capacity to contribute to an inclusive approach to learning and a cross-cultural understanding in students
- Capacity to develop an approach to education that is biblically grounded, Christ-focused, culturally engaging, and academically rigorous
- Capacity to teach the prescribed curriculum within a conducive learning environment
- Capacity to contribute to the school community by participating in staff meetings, extra-curricular tasks, and liaising with parents where appropriate
- Passion for impacting students' minds and hearts and providing a safe, supportive learning environment
- High relational skills and commitment to a holistic view of teaching and student welfare
- Keenness to collaborate with colleagues in developing and implementing teaching and learning programs
- Servant heart and vibrant Christian faith
Desired Qualifications
