Job Summary
Junior Policy Analysts in Education at OECD, focusing on identifying research gaps and developing methodologies to strengthen evidence for education policy (CERI and PISA). Responsibilities include analyzing and drafting policy documents, synthesizing qualitative findings, drafting assessment frameworks and technical specifications for data collection (PISA), developing tools for evidence collection, survey design and data collection instrument development, organizing stakeholder events, liaising with officials and researchers, and coordinating contracts with experts. Ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in social sciences or related field, 2+ years of education research experience, strong analytical skills, and ability to draft policy-oriented documents. Proficiency in English and French required; knowledge of other languages is an asset. Salary starts at EUR 5,279/month with possibility of renewal; 12-month fixed-term appointment with potential extension. Contract based in Paris, with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- An advanced university degree in social sciences, education, economics, psychology, statistics, psychometrics or a related field
- At least two years of experience in education research or survey work
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Proven ability to draft clear, concise, policy-oriented documents in different formats
- Proven ability to work well with stakeholders (policy, research and/or practice)
- Knowledge of teacher policy or education policy (CERI)
- Experience in futures/scenario building techniques (asset)
- Knowledge of large-scale educational assessments (PISA/SSES)
- Knowledge of online graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Illustrator) would be an asset
- Knowledge and experience in the use of software for data management and analysis (PISA/SSES)
