Job Summary
Design and analyze hardware for complex opto-mechanical systems supporting space, air, and ground-based payloads. Produce new design models and assembly layouts using CREO 7.0+, create detail drawings and Bills of Materials via PDMLink, and evaluate structural performance with CREO Simulate. Apply Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances to precision parts, coordinate tooling and fixturing designs, and document all activities for internal and technical review milestones. Support projects from initial concept through system integration and test while communicating status reports and meeting peer review requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Sole US citizenship
- Capable of obtaining and holding a security clearance
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge in opto-mechanical, electro-mechanical, thermal and/or structural systems development
- Experience with Solidworks or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Power point, Excel)
- Experience with MathCad and Matlab
- Written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Can-do attitude with qualities conducive to teamwork and collaboration
- Ownership of all tasks
- Willingness to reach out to other departments and disciplines to drive tasks to completion
Desired Qualifications
- Solid Modeling experience with CREO and Windchill PDMLink
- GD&T, Manufacturing, and Test experience
