Job Summary
Junior Operator at Dow operates assigned plant equipment, monitors process conditions using the Operations Dashboard (OPD) and Tasks List, and works with the shift team to resolve unplanned events. The role includes mentoring and training less-experienced operators, performing autonomous maintenance, and initiating preliminary investigations for events. Requires basic technical skills and an Associate's Degree in Process Technology or related field (or equivalent experience), with site-level progression for operator advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Process Technology or related field or equivalent experience
- Production Unit certifications typically required
- In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience required
- Operates and maintains process equipment; knowledge of operating discipline and safety practices
- Mentors and trains operators; participates in Root Cause Investigations as needed
