Junior Operations Executive - Laboratory

Job Summary
Oversee daily technical laboratory operations and technical resources to ensure accurate, timely test results per management systems and standards. Directly supervise analysts, information processors, and aides while performing administrative duties such as training staff, delegating work, and monitoring compliance with standard test methods and quality procedures. In the absence of the Laboratory Manager, authorize sample registration, conduct testing, develop or validate methods, analyze results, sign service proposals and reports, approve supply requests and leave applications, and address customer complaints and audit findings through effective corrective actions. Ensure equipment calibration, sufficient stock levels, and adherence to international standards and QHSEE policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
- Professional license
- Minimum of five (5) years technical laboratory working experience in petroleum industry
- Three (3) years supervisory experience in petroleum industry
- Excellent interactive and communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively present information and reply to questions from customers and/or regulatory agencies
- Proficient/ capable in problem assessment and judgement
- Ability to identify personnel development and organizational consciousness
- Strategic, methodical, logical and detail oriented
- Ability to handle tasks in stimulating work environment such as outdoor/field assignments
- Ability to work effectively even under pressure while performing concurrent numerous laboratory works
- Technical and quality oriented
- Ability to coordinate and motivate
- Ability to build confidence, respect and confidentiality
- Acts quickly and decisively
- Ability to make tough calls
- Proficient in computer - MS Windows application
