Junior Modernization Analyst

Job Summary
Review ship class modernization plans, advanced planning, and integration of new technologies to prepare program briefings, plans, meeting minutes, and action item reports. Draft, review, coordinate, and process Ship Change Documents for Combat Systems, C4I, and Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical systems while managing SCD maturity and scheduling. Identify risks and mitigation strategies for planned ship alterations, then support fleet-introduction by resolving critical problems through coordination with Ship Program Offices, maintenance centers, and stakeholders. Work independently to develop modernization program reports and assist in delivering briefings to government representatives. Manage email communications, file developed documents, and safeguard all documentation in adherence to security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Higher degree can be substituted for years of experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Profficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook
- Profficiency in the use of Excel
- Profficiency in the use of Word
- Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Naval Engineering background
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoW and NAVSEA programs, processes, and initiatives
- Familiarization and experience in Navy ship modernization and/or maintenance
