Job Summary
Junior / Mid-Level Full-Stack Platform Engineer for a biometric health technology platform. Build backend services, frontend surfaces, APIs, SDKs, and data pipelines that support a biometric data platform. Work across Python or Go on backend services and JavaScript/TypeScript on product-facing surfaces, with data pipelines and AI-forward infrastructure in a lean startup environment. Remote/distributed setup in the United States with Austin/San Antonio preferred. Mentorship from senior technical leaders while still owning meaningful build work. Focus areas include production systems around wearable physiological data, APIs, SDKs, data pipelines, and related platform workflows; emphasize shipping clean, reliable code in a compliance-aware environment; collaborate on architecture, deployment, and tradeoffs; participate in live coding assessments and grow quickly with ownership.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on full-stack software engineering experience (professional role, internship, startup, open-source work, or substantial shipped project)
- Strong Python or Go skills
- Experience building backend services, APIs, SDKs, or data pipelines
- Practical frontend experience, especially JavaScript or TypeScript
- Solid fundamentals in Git, testing, debugging, deployment, interfaces, and data flow
- Comfort working in a lean startup where priorities move quickly
- Ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly and learn from senior engineers
- Willingness to complete a live coding assessment
- Recent grads can be a fit if they have unusually strong full-stack project/internship/startup/open-source evidence
