Job Summary
Junior Mechanical Drafter (Mining) supports the design and development of mechanical systems within a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Prepare and revise detailed drawings (layouts, piping, equipment) and assist with 3D modeling and cross-discipline coordination. Contribute to project deliverables, ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with standards, and gain exposure to 2D/3D drafting tools. Requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field, 0–2 years of drafting or co-op/internship experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D, or similar software. Familiarity with mechanical systems such as piping, process equipment, and industrial layouts; strong attention to detail and accuracy; and effective communication and teamwork skills. Experience or interest in mining, construction, or industrial environments is an asset. Salary range: $45K-$50K.
