Job Summary
Design and model mechanical hardware for aerospace and defence applications using MCAD tools, with a preference for SolidWorks. Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing knowledge to support systems design, development, and integration projects. Gain hands-on experience on real-world engineering projects within a team environment while receiving comprehensive training and mentorship. This full-time role requires an on-site presence at Incomar's Pretoria facilities starting February 2027, with a mandatory commitment to a 24-month Graduate Development Programme. Candidates must hold a relevant engineering qualification and South African citizenship or a valid work permit.
Required Qualifications
- Applicable BEng Tech, Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical qualification or currently studying such a qualification for completion by the end of 2026
- South African Citizenship or permanent residence in South Africa with a valid work permit
- A full-time in office presence is required at Incomar's facilities in Pretoria, Gauteng from February 2027
- MCAD modelling and design knowledge
- MCAD geometric dimensioning and tolerancing knowledge
- Exposure to mechanical draughting and design using relevant CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Successful candidates will be required to provide an up-to-date police clearance certificate
- Successful candidates must be willing to commit for a Graduate Development Programme of up to 24 months
- Successful candidates offered permanent positions after the initial 12 months will be required to commit to a minimum of a 24-month work-back employment term following successful completion of the 24-month Graduate Development Programme
Desired Qualifications
- No specific work experience is required however exposure to mechanical design and draughting will be beneficial
- Keen interest in aerospace and defence related industries with respect to unique materials, manufacturing and assembly methods applicable to the aerospace and defence industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- General interest in the Military, Defence and Aerospace Industry
