Junior Legal Counsel

Hands-on Junior Legal Counsel role supporting in-house team across property, contracts, and commercial matters. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing leases, commercial contracts, construction agreements; conducting legal research on commercial property and tenancy; preparing chronologies and bundles for litigation; maintaining templates and precedent library; liaising with external counsel; coordinating document execution; entity-level document management; using AI platforms in routine legal work with human judgement to flag signatures, filings or real-world actions; proactively managing deliverables across matters and contractors; reporting to Legal team leader. Candidates with up to 3 years PQE or recent law graduates welcome; emphasis on attention to detail, independent work capability, coachability, and comfort with technology/AI tools. Auckland, New Zealand location with in-person remote option.
