Job Summary
Junior Systems Engineer to support a DoD customer at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Provide early-career systems engineering support across requirements analysis, design reviews, integration, testing, fielding, sustainment, and acquisition activities for Army Aviation and Launched Effects programs. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing engineering documentation, technical reports, requirements packages, test plans, and program briefings; participating in IPTs and engineering working groups; supporting prototypes, demonstrations, test activities, and verification/validation; coordinating with government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders; researching emerging technologies to support future capabilities; and performing related engineering and program support duties. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering discipline, US citizenship, ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance, 1-5 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Location is on-site at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL with travel up to 25%. Equal opportunity employer with reasonable accommodations available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Security Clearance required or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- 1-5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Understanding of engineering principles and system development processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
