Job Summary
Junior IT Helpdesk Technician responsible for providing first-line technical support to end-users regarding hardware, software, or network issues. Responsibilities include answering calls, emails and tickets; monitoring the helpdesk mailbox; delivering Level 1 phone, email, remote and on-site support; installing and configuring software; managing user accounts and software licensing; supporting mobile devices; documenting issues and resolutions in incident-management tools; conducting ticket reviews and reports; and delivering excellent customer service. Requires a university IT degree or equivalent experience, proficiency with MS Office365 and device management, knowledge of LAN/WAN, Windows OS, Active Directory, information security best practices, hardware/software configuration, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time onsite role in Mississauga with rotating shifts including overnight and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in IT or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in MS Office365, mobile device management, and industry-standard business software applications
- Understanding of LAN/WAN networking, Windows OS, Active Directory, and information security best practices
- Experience with hardware and software configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment
- Knowledge of mobile OS, devices, and printer support
- Professional phone etiquette and rapport with users of varying technical expertise
