Job Summary
The Hydraulic Modeller role focuses on building and applying hydraulic water and wastewater models for municipal and private sector clients. Core responsibilities include conducting hydraulic modelling analyses for municipal water and wastewater systems, performing data analysis for planning studies, preparing engineering calculations, reports and drawings, and helping produce key deliverables such as technical reports, client presentations, modeling outputs, and GIS mapping. The role supports senior engineers across a range of municipal and private sector projects and requires strong hydraulics knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams. Required Qualifications
- Certified Professional Engineer license in Ontario, or eligible to obtain within one year
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in water or wastewater design or hydraulics related to municipal projects (Junior level) or 4+ years for Intermediate level
- Strong understanding of hydraulics principles
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in modelling software (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, Infoworks ICM, Infowater, PCSWMM)
- Knowledge of GIS systems (ESRI or ArcGIS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D
