Job Summary
Teach and coach at Santa Fe Junior High: develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum, assess student learning, and manage classrooms. Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs, sponsor extracurricular activities, maintain professional communication with parents and community, participate in staff development, and uphold TEA, district, and school policies. Maintain a positive role model for students and support the school’s mission while ensuring safety protocols and appropriate use of instructional materials and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
